Bartell Drugs’ “Health & Beauty Event” features health screenings, cosmetic demonstrations and hairstyling tips starting March 21

Spring event features beauty and hair styling demonstrations

SEATTLE–Bartell Drugs celebrates healthy and beautiful living during its “Health & Beauty Event” March 21-April 3 at select Bartell’s locations in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Activities will include health clinics, free beauty “mini makeover” demonstrations and hair styling tips, and product samplings ranging from cosmetics to specialty foods and candies.

Health screenings will also include mobile digital mammography screenings beginning March 15 through April 8 at 16 Bartell Drugs locations in conjunction with Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.

Bartell’s will provide health clinic testing and screenings at ten locations offered free of charge or at discounted fees. Services include blood glucose testing, OneTouch® blood glucose meter exchange and meter education, cholesterol testing, bone density screenings for osteoporosis, blood pressure testing for hypertension, and others.

At 20 participating Bartell’s stores, cosmetologists will give “mini makeovers” demonstrating the newest products from Revlon, L’Oreal and Maybelline. The makeovers will focus on the latest colors and products for Spring. Conair® will be hosting hair styling demonstrations spotlighting the latest hair styling tools and tips.

Product samples and coupons to be given away at participating stores, including products from Nordic Naturals, Banana Boat, Colgate and Bio True.

Bartell’s and Evergreen Hospital Medical Center have teamed up to provide mobile digital mammography screenings to support the early detection of breast cancer. Using the same digital mammography equipment as the Breast Center at Evergreen Hospital, the mobile unit includes private changing room and analysis by board-certified breast radiologists. On-site Evergreen staff will accept Medicare and most insurance plans.
